94 Marijuana Plants, 50 Pounds Of Marijuana Seized From Huntersville Residence

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A Huntersville man has been arrested after detectives found 94 marijuana plants and 50 pounds of marijuana in his residence.

On Friday, September 15, 2017, authorities executed a search warrant at the residence of Robert Somervell, 48,  on Devin Allen Drive in Huntersville.

A marijuana growing operation was discovered and 94 actively growing plants in various stages of growth were recovered.  Officials say some of the plants were as tall as six feet.

Fifty pounds of usable marijuana and 17 firearms were also found.

Somervell was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana by Possession, Trafficking Marijuana by Manufacturing, Trafficking Marijuana by Sell, Conspire to Traffic Marijuana more than 50 pounds, Maintaining a Dwelling to Keep/Sale Controlled Substance, Possession with the Intent to Sell and Deliver, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
