The Panthers Are 2-0. What’s the Biggest Issue They’re Facing?

The Carolina Panthers are 2-0 after Sunday’s win over the Buffalo Bills.   The defense looked solid; Julius Peppers says its the best defense he’s ever played for. But there are legit concerns about the offense, which only managed to post 9 points Sunday.   Quarterback Cam Newton looked less rusty, but far from the player named league MVP two seasons ago.  Newton had no touchdowns and overthrew rookie Christian McCaffrey in what should have been a 4th quarter touchdown.   To make matters worse, Newton is temporarily losing one of his best targets for a substantial chunk of the season.  Tight end Greg Olsen is recovering from a successful surgery to repair a broken bone in his right foot.  Olsen is expected to be back this season but could miss 6 to 8 weeks.
