MOMO Holds Vigil At Marshal Park For Justin Carr, Killed One Year Ago Today

CHARLOTTE, NC — Nearly a hundred people gathered in Marshal Park Thursday night to honor the Justin Carr.

The vigil was held by Mothers of Murdered Offspring, and marks one year since the 26-year-old was shot and killed outside the Omni Hotel in Uptown. Carr was part of the protests that erupted after the officer involved shooting of Keith Scott.

Carr’s aunt spoke at the vigil and said he died for a cause he believed in.
