Charlotte’s High Murder Rate Has Some Calling For A Return Of The City’s Homicide Task Force
CHARLOTTE, NC — Activists are calling on the City of Charlotte to bring back the Homicide Task Force.
The call comes during increased concern about the high homicide rate so far this year. The most recent murder happened Wednesday night, which brought the total to 66 for 2017.
Safe Coalition NC, Action NC, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg NAACP say the task force is a proactive way to help CMPD find a solution to the homicide epidemic.
