CMPD Bomb Dogs Get Some Extra Training

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD’s bomb-detecting dogs are getting some extra training to help keep you safe.

WCCB Charlotte followed the police K9s this week as they were put through live scenarios in west Charlotte. They searched everything from vehicles, to rooms and tested their odor recognition to help with accuracy.

CMPD K9s sweep the light rails and are on hand before Knights and Panthers games to make sure everyone stays safe.
