Authorities Asking For Assistance Locating Missing Lancaster Man

LANCASTER, S.C. — Lancaster County officials are seeking help locating a missing Lancaster man.

Authorities say Charles Robert “Bobby” Jones was last seen around 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017, on Legend Road in Lancaster.

Mr. Jones is described as a 70-year-old white male, about five feet nine inches tall and 190 pounds. He has straight, light colored hair, a mustache and a long scar on his inner right arm.

He was last seen wearing blue coveralls, a red shirt, and white New Balance sneakers.

Mr. Jones drives a red 2005 standard cab Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck
bearing South Carolina license tag EPI 988. The truck has body scratches, and the
license tag is dented. Mr. Jones is a veteran, and the truck has a submarine services
sticker with dolphins on the back window.

Mr. Jones’ debit card was used in Laurinburg, North Carolina, at approximately
8:00 p. m. yesterday and subsequently at an unknown time at the Murphy Express
convenience store near Walmart in Conover, North Carolina.
