ALBEMARLE, NC — Joseph Wall, Jr., 21, is wanted for a shooting that took place on Inger Street on September 14th, according to officials.
Police responded to that location around 4:16pm where they found a Ford Explorer with multiple bullet holes and several shell casings on the ground. A short time later they were alerted to Wall being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg at Carolinas Health Care of Stanly, officials say.
Wall’s wound was near the knee and was not life threatening.
Even though he was the only one shot, detectives later determined that Wall was the aggressor in the incident. He is now wanted on several charges including Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Wall is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if seen. Anyone with information should contact Albemarle PD at 704-984-9500 or 911 immediately.
