Controversial Sex-Survey Pulled from Cabarrus County Schools

CABARRUS, N.C. — Cabarrus County Schools is pulling a controversial sex survey from it’s middle schools.

Questions ranged from parental support to student’s sexual history.

Parents were given the option whether they wanted their student to take the survey.

The survey is a required part of a grant program aimed at lowering teen pregnancy rates.

Cabarrus Health Alliance says the district did not create the survey and that together they’re working on ways to move forward.

Leaders say by ending the survey, they could lose funding for the program.
