Two Charged In Fatal Concord Hit-And-Run, Victims Identified
UPDATE: Authorities have identified the two Concord High School students who were killed in Saturday’s hit-and-run accident.
The victims were identified as 14-year-old Jessie Marroquin Avelino and 15-year-old Ricardo Solano.
Police say Francisco Daniel Marin-Gonzalez was under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident. He is being held on $1,000,000 bond.
CONCORD, N.C. — Two men are in custody following a fatal hit-and-run accident that killed two teenagers in Concord Saturday night.
Concord Police responded to a hit-and-run on Concord Parkway North near Liske Avenue and found two males ages 14 and 15-years-old dead after being hit by a vehicle while crossing Concord Parkway North.
Witnesses reported seeing a light colored vehicle leaving the scene.
A Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Deputy found the vehicle abandoned near the scene of the accident.
The driver of the vehicle, Francisco Daniel Marin-Gonzalez, 21, and passenger, Mark Anthony Gutierrez-Santos, 19, were located shortly thereafter.
Francisco Daniel Marin-Gonzalez was charged with two counts of felony hit and run, two counts of felony death by motor vehicle, and failing to stop an render aid.
Gutierrez-Santos was charged with failing to stop and render aid.
