CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One woman is dead and another has been arrested after a shooting in Charlotte on Saturday morning.
The CMPD has charged Nakonia Nicholson, 36, with Voluntary Manslaughter for the murder of 60-year-old Annie Nicholson.

Police say officers responded to the 400 block of Orange Street in Charlotte at about 10:32 a.m. Saturday and found Annie Nicholson suffering from a gunshot wound.
Annie Nicholson was taken to Presbyterian Hospital where she later died from her injuries.
This is Charlotte’s 68th Homicide in 2017. Charlotte had 69 homicides in 2016.
