Group Home Supervisor Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges

MINT HILL, NC – Police say Social Services received a tip that a sexual assault may have occurred at a group home in Mint Hill.

On July 19th, Mint Hill Police were reportedly contacted by Social Services and advised that a juvenile had reported a sexual assault by her group home supervisor.

The supervisor, identified as Reginald Jackson, was employed by New Place, Inc where the incident reportedly took place.

During the investigation it was learned that the assault had taken place on July 6th.

Detectives with the Mint Hill Police Department say they obtained warrants for Jackson on three counts of Sexual Activity by a Substitute Parent or Custodian.

Police arrested Reginald Jackson on Wednesday and transported him to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
