Man Arrested For Sex Trafficking Georgia Woman In Pineville
PINEVILLE, NC — A criminal complaint has been filed against Thomas ‘Fame’ Stinnette who is accused of prostituting a Georgia girl in Pineville between October 1st and 4th.
According to court documents, the victim says she was picked up in Georgia on Thursday, September 28th by her friend and Stinnette, whom she had never met. The three traveled to several cities throughout Florida before her friend abandoned her with Stinnette on Sunday, October 1st, according to the report.
Officials say Stinnette then transported the girl to Charlotte with the intention of prostituting her. Stinnette set her up in the Comfort Suites on Centrum Parkway in Pineville, according to court documents, posted her prostitution ads on Backpage, and bought her a cell phone to text with potential clients.
On October 2nd, officials say the victim called her mom on a cellphone that was unknown to Stinnette, and told them where she was and that she wanted to go home. Due to financial constraints, officials say the victim’s mother and sisters weren’t able to get to Pineville until Wednesday, October 4th. The mother called Pineville Police who then responded to the hotel and found the victim inside the room with Stinnette.
