FORT MILL, S.C. — A Fort Mill man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he tried to suffocate one of his infant children.
Grayson Bryant Seawell has been charged with two counts of Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child and one count of Attempted Murder.
The Fort Mill Police Department says officers responded to a call for service regarding a physical assault on a child on October 10th, 2017.
Police say the mother of a one-year-old child found Seawell attempting to suffocate the child.
Seawell left the residence before the officers arrived, but was located and arrested shortly thereafter.
Further investigation determined that Seawell had previously physically abused both of his one-year-old children on other unspecified dates.
An Attempted Murder conviction carries a maximum sentence of 30 years. An Unlawful Conduct Towards a Child conviction would carry a 10-year maximum sentence for each charge.
