The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office Hosts Counter Terrorism Conference In Uptown

CHARLOTTE, NC — Law enforcement from across the country gathered in Charlotte Thursday to talk about how to handle mass shootings.

Sheriff Irwin Carmichael hosted a Counter-Terrorism Conference in Uptown that included officers from Orlando, San Bernadino, and Charleston talking about what they learned during mass shootings in their cities.

The conference was scheduled before the Las Vegas mass shooting, which is now the worst in modern US history.
