Suspect Arrested After Shooting In Concord Wednesday Afternoon

CONCORD, NC — Police have arrested 20-year-old Javonte McRavin for a shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon.

Concord Police say the shooting initially happened in a parking lot on Branchview Drive Northeast. The suspect and the victim knew one another, according to investigators, and were possibly engaging in a drug deal at the time of the shooting.

The victim was dropped off around 4pm at CMC Northeast with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and is in stable condition, according to police.

McRavin is charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury.
