Man Arrested After Shooting Into Home, Leading Police Chase

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man has been arrested after shooting into a home and leading police on a chase Saturday afternoon.

Bruce Little, 19, has been charged with Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Discharging a Weapon into an Occupied Property, Fleeing and Eluding Arrest, and Resisting Public Officer.

CMPD says officers were called to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon on Lobilia Lane around 1:52pm.  Witnesses stated a home was shot into but no one was injured.

After identifying the suspect and locating his vehicle, officers attempted to make a traffic stop, but Little kept going.

During the ensuing pursuit, officers say they saw Little throw a gun out of the car and into the river as he crossed the Wilkinson Boulevard bridge. Little was eventually stopped on Hathaway Hills Drive and arrested.

On Sunday, CMPD says crews with the Charlotte Fire Department Dive Team located the gun and turned it over to detectives for evidence.
