Victim Identified, Suspect Charged After Deadly Stabbing In West Charlotte

Police have identified the suspect and victim of Tuesday night’s homicide in west Charlotte.

Johnny Bee Boyd, 25, has been charged with Murder for stabbing and killing 27-year-old Kwame Deese.

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating the 75th homicide of 2017 after a man was stabbed during a fight in west Charlotte.homicide, stabbing, west Charlotte

Police say a large fight broke out at an apartment complex on Timberbrook Drive off of Tuckaseegee Road around 8:30pm Tuesday. According to reports, an unknown suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim during the scuffle.

Medic transported the victim to CMC for treatment, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

CMPD says the suspect took off before police arrived. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
