Bannon Could Campaign For Pittenger’s Opponent In The 2018 Primary

CHARLOTTE, NC — Congressman Robert Pittenger responded Thursday to a recent report saying that Steve Bannon would not back him in the 2018 primary, but rather his opponent Mark Harris.

Bannon is reportedly trying to disrupt the Republican establishment. Pittenger is currently backed by GOP strategist Karl Rove, and Rove recently wrote a critical op-ed for the Wall Street Journal about Bannon.
