Parents Protest LGBT Program at Schools

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Parents in the area are upset with a new CMS program with teaches kids about LGBT issues.

The ‘Welcoming Schools’ program is only in a few schools now, but is expected to expanded next year.

Starting in Kindergarten, kids will learn about gender neutral pronouns and gender identity to prevent bulling.

So far, more than 3,000 people have signed a NC values petition to stop the program.
