Expect clouds and rain chances to build throughout the day Saturday. Charlotte sees isolated showers during the afternoon but should get a good, but short dousing Saturday night. The heaviest rain will be across the mountains with over an inch expected. Lower elevations get between a quarter and half-inch.

Sunday’s highs drop into the 50s in Charlotte with lows near freezing. The mountains could see just a dusting of Sunday morning snow. Everything moves out by Monday, and Halloween looks to be mild and clear.
