LINCOLNTON, NC — Deputies are looking for the man they say kicked in the front door of a family’s home and robbed them at gun point Saturday night.
The incident happened around 7pm at a home on Loop Road. The home’s owner, Marcus Montero, told deputies that he and his family were eating dinner when the suspect broke in and started pointing a gun at everyone. The suspect then took wallets from all of the men in the home and took off.
Deputies say there may have been a second suspect waiting outside in a getaway vehicle. Two shell casings were found near Montero’s truck, according to reports, where the suspect had shot out his right front tire.
More than $1400 in cash and person papers were taken during the robbery, deputies say. The suspects took off in a pickup truck, but investigators say the victims were not able to get a description.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050 or Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.
