City Holds Annual Charlotte Salute To Veterans Day Parade

CHARLOTTE, NC — Thousands showed up Saturday for the annual Charlotte Salute To Veterans Day Parade, which showcases and honors local and active duty military members.

Right after the parade, one local veteran was also surprised with a brand new Chevy Traverse from Wells Fargo and Rick Hendrick City Chevrolet.

Former Army Sergeant Bobby Carrasquillo was wounded in 2004 while helping a young Iraqi girl who was wounded by an IED. He joined the military right after 9/11 and spent two tours in Iraq.
