Nearly A Dozen Suspects Arrested During Lancaster County Drug Roundup
LANCASTER COUNTY, SC — Deputies say they arrested 10 out of 11 suspects wanted on various drugs charges during a roundup last week.
The arrests that began around noon Thursday and continued through Saturday were the result of several undercover drug deals, according to officials. Deputies say all of the suspects, except one, are from the Kershaw area.

- Corey Demario Carruthers, age 32

- Johnny Dwayne Collins, age 52
- Distribution of Hydrocodone, Distribution of Heroin
- At the time of his arrest, deputies say Collins was found to be in possession of additional substances suspected to be illegal drugs. He was also charged with:
- Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin
- Possession of Crack Cocaine
- Possession of Zubsolv
- Zebedee Rote Hughes, age 21
- Distribution of Marijuana
- Shareca Latoya Jones, age 34
- Distribution of Crack, Distribution of Crack in Proximity of School or Park
- Lamarr Delaney Kelly, age 33
- Distribution of Cocaine, Distribution of Cocaine in Proximity of School or Park
- Derrick Lamonz Miller, age 25
- Distribution of Heroin, Distribution of Heroin in Proximity of School or Park
- Kantara Charmaine Sowell, age 23
- Distribution of Crack, Distribution of Crack in Proximity of School or Park
- Dustin Brushawn Walker, age 25
- Distribution of Hydrocodone, Distribution of Hydrocodone in Proximity of School or Park
- Hykeim Malik Williams, age 21
- Distribution of Crack, Distribution of Crack in Proximity of School or Park
- Johnathon Herberty Wise, age 31
- Distribution of Crack, Distribution of Crack in Proximity of School or Park
Deputies say one suspect, Gary William Jowers, 54, is still wanted. He is charged with Distribution of Alprazolam.
Two other suspects were also arrested during the roundup. According to reports, 19-year-old Damion Collins and 16-year-old Dorian Clyburn were arrested when deputies went to serve arrest warrants on Hykeim Williams around 4pm Thursday.
Detectives say Clyburn and Collins were inside the home when they arrived, which smelled of marijuana. Inside the attic, officials say they found two bags of suspected heroin, along with digital scales, three handguns (a .357 revolver and two .380 pistols), and two SKS 7.62 rifles.
The guns were loaded, deputies say, and various ammunition was also found. According to reports, the .357’s serial number had been removed and one of the .380s had been reported stolen.
Williams, Collins, and Clyburn were all charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, Possession of a Stolen Pistol, and Possession of a Pistol with an Obliterated Serial Number.
