GASTON COUNTY, NC — Police have officially charged a 25-year-old man accused of killing a 2-year-old boy Sunday.
Marquis Graham has been charged with 1st Degree Murder of Kye Rashid. According to police, Graham and Rashid’s mother took him to CaroMont Regional Medical Center around noon Sunday where he was later pronounced dead.
Officials say Graham and the mother were in a relationship and living together with her two children. Gaston County Police and Gaston County DHHS are investigating.
Police have not said how the child died. Graham turned himself in to Mecklenburg County authorities Tuesday afternoon and was transported back to Gaston County where he was charged.
