HICKORY, NC — Officials have issued a Silver Alert for 83-year-old Billy Ray Smith who may be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Smith was last seen on Mounira Avenue, officials say.
He is described as a white male, 5’8″, 155lbs, short white hair, blue eyes, and last seen wearing a tan ball cap with red writing, an army camouflage jacket, pants, and tennis shoes.
Officials say Smith was driving a tan and beige 2002 Cadillac Escalade with NC license plate number XNA3967.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Burke County Sheriff’s Office at 828-438-5500.
