YORK COUNTY, SC — A 31-year-old woman from Chester died Tuesday after getting thrown from her vehicle on I-77.
The accident happened around 3:15am on I-77 south near exit 89 in York County. Officials say the woman was not wearing a seatbelt when her Kia ran off the right side of the road, hit a traffic camera, and overturned.
Troopers say she was thrown from the vehicle during the crash. She was taken to the hospital for treatment, but died a short time later.
The woman’s name has not yet been released. Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash.
