Toxicology Report On Rubin Galindo Shows High Level Of Alcohol In His System
CHARLOTTE, NC — A toxicology report released Tuesday shows a man killed by CMPD officers in Hidden Valley had a high level of alcohol in his system.
According to the Medical Examiner’s report, Rubin Galindo’s blood alcohol level (BAC) was .23.
Galindo called 911 on September 6th saying he had a gun, had been drinking and did not speak English. Responding officers say he refused to put down his gun, despite being given multiple commands in both English and Spanish.
Officers eventually fired, killing Galindo.

Officers Courtney Suggs and David Guerra were both placed on paid administrative leave, which is standard procedure for officer-involved shooting investigations.
