Five Points Better Block Build
Thursday & Friday, November 17-18th
Five Points Plaza
Starting at 11 a.m. on Thursday and Friday, the Five Points Plaza will be temporarily transformed by West Side community members alongside urban designers. Participants will be invited to brainstorm, build furniture, paint the streets and help erect temporary barriers in the Five Points Plaza for the Five Points Better Block plaza activation events on Friday evening and Saturday. Better Block is a community-led approach to test ideas for creating great spaces. This temporary transformation will ultimately shape the final design for the City’s Capital Improvement Project for Five Points. There will be a pop-up stage for entertainment, temporary bike lanes, and an outdoor marketplace.
