BOONE, NC — Police have arrested a 22-year-old mother accused of abusing her baby back in October.
On October 13th, police say Watauga County DSS reported a possible child abuse case involving Elizabeth Sanders and her 1-year-old son. Officials say Sanders was arrested Friday following an investigation into the incident.
The baby has been placed in DSS custody. Sanders was released on a written promise to appear, and is scheduled to appear before a judge on December 6th.
