Waiting Child : Isaiah

In this week’s Waiting Child you will meet a fun-loving, active nine year old who is autistic.  He hopes to find his forever family.

He’s nine years old and full of energy.  Meet Isaiah. He’s outgoing and very affectionate. His social worker Hannah Crawford says he’s never met a stranger, “The very first home visit I went to I heard that he loved honey buns just the 50 cent honey buns from the gas station nothing special so I took two of them to him and he immediately gave me two kisses for each honey buns.”

Isaiah is diagnosed with autism but Crawford says he is making much progress, “He recognizes what you’re saying but he can’t necessarily communicate back conversation wise.”

Isaiah is high functioning.  He loves to pick out his own clothes and after dinner he rinses off his dishes and puts them in the dishwasher.  He knows his colors and enjoys following a routine.

The only thing missing in Isaiah’s life is a family to call his own. Isaiah wants a family who will love him forever.  Consider adoption. You have the chance to change Isaiah’s life forever

If you think Isaiah would make a great fit for your family contact the North Carolina Children’s Home Society.
