LENOIR, N.C. — Police say a 15-year-old was killed in a wreck involving a logging truck in Lenoir.
Investigators say Michael Dicks was driving a logging truck owned by Pack Brothers Logging & Grading, LLC, and turned right onto Taylorsville Road from Wilkesboro Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
Police say another vehicle, driven by Brian Oliver, was preparing to go through the intersection and struck a log extending from the rear of the logging truck. The impact resulted in the death of passenger, Wesley Oliver, 15.
Officers are currently investigating the crash and reviewing statements. No criminal charges have been filed at this time.
