Man Arrested For Series Of Charlotte Convenience Store Robberies

CMPD Detectives have arrested a man in connection with a series of convenience store robberies over the last week.
Police say Jonathan Antonio Krider, 31, has been arrested and charged with four counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, two counts of Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a man responsible for a series of armed robberies.
On Monday, the suspect entered the Charlotte Travel Plaza, brandished a knife and demanded money from the victim business. After obtaining the property, the suspect fled the business in an unknown direction of travel.
On Friday, the suspect entered a 7-Eleven, walked up to the counter and brandished a knife while demanding money from the registers. The suspect fled the business in an unknown direction of travel.
On Saturday, the suspect entered a 7-Eleven, on W. Trade Street, approached a clerk and demanded money. When the clerk refused, the suspect left the business. Approximately 30 minutes later, the same suspect entered the Charlotte Travel Plaza. During this robbery, the suspect made a purchase and when the cash register opened the suspect brandished a knife and grabbed money from the register. The suspect then left business.
On Sunday, the suspect entered a Circle K, on S. Tryon Street. The suspect asked the clerk about prices of cigarettes and then brandished a firearm demanding money from the register, according to police. The suspect left the store without any property. A few hours later, the suspect went to the Circle K on Tyvola Rd and approached the counter with merchandise and when the clerk began to complete the transaction, the suspect pulled out a firearm and demanded money and cigarettes. Upon receiving the property, the suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’6”- 5’10” tall, with a medium build.
