GASTONIA, NC — Police are investigating an accident that left one person dead and another injured Friday morning.
Police say 50-year-old Eddie Shook died from injuries after colliding with another vehicle on Redbud Drive at East Hudson Boulevard around 6:56am. According to reports, Shook was turning left onto Redbud Drive when his 2015 Chevrolet Malibu was hit by 22-year-old Jadiel Gonzalez’s 1996 Ford F350.
Shook was taken to CaroMont Regional Medical Center for treatment, but died from his injuries. A rear seat passenger in Shook’s vehicle was also transported with minor injuries, officials say.
Police have not yet released any other details regarding the accident, which is currently under investigation. Check back for updates.
