One Arrested, One On The Run After Drug Bust In Gaston County

GASTONIA, NC — Police have one suspect in custody, but say another is on the run after a drug bust last Thursday.

Markevous Nixon was arrested after narcotics detectives served a search warrant at a home on Nat Barber Avenue. During the search, investigators say they seized marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamines.

Nixon is charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, and maintaining a dwelling for sales of narcotics. All charges are felonies in North Carolina.

Also wanted in connection to the investigation is Terry Mitchell. Police say he has outstanding felony charges for manufacturing meth, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver meth, deliver meth, sell of meth, and manufacture of methamphetamines.
