CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD is investigating an overnight murder and suicide in University City.
Police say a man, Maurice Dermot Hunter, shot and killed his wife, Suprena Mercelle Hunter, as well as tried to shoot another family member, before killing himself.
The incident happened on Dapple Gray lane off of Back Creek Church Road.
