CONCORD, N.C. — At approximately 8 p.m. on December 27th, Police in Concord responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at North Carolina Highway 49 near Central Heights Drive.
The crash involved a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 49. The pedestrian, Roger Eric Mergendahl, was killed at the scene due to injuries sustained during the crash.
Witness accounts indicate that the driver of the vehicle had a green light as it entered the intersection.
At this time, there are no charges in the case
