SC Mother Give Birth To New Year’s Baby On I-26
CHARLESTON, SC — When a baby decided to come about three weeks early on New Year’s Day, her parents hit the gas on the interstate trying to make it to the hospital.
The couple was going about 95 MPH when police tried to pull them over. When they finally stopped, the officers weren’t buying the ‘pregnant wife’ story and started placing the father-to-be in handcuffs.
That’s when the baby arrived with New Year’s Eve fireworks bursting in the background.
Officers removed the cuffs and congratulated the couple before helping them get to the hospital. Both mom and the baby are healthy and celebrating the new year.
