Man Arrested For Five Rock Hill Armed Robberies In 2017

ROCK HILL, S.C. —  Detectives have arrested a man wanted for five armed robberies in the Rock Hill area in early 2017.

Travis Lamont Gathers, 47, has been charged with five counts of Armed Robbery and five counts of Possession of a Weapon during a crime of violence.

Detectives determined Gathers was responsible for the following robberies:

  • January 16, 2017   One Stop Convenience Store at 2460 W. Main ST.
  • February 2, 2017    Citgo Corner Stop at 505 Anderson Rd.
  • February 13, 2017    Gathers robbed a citizen making a  business bank deposit at the BB &T Bank at 2286 Dave Lyle Blvd at the after-hours deposit box.
  • February 21, 2017     Lebo’s Shoe Store at 2349 N. Cherry Rd.
  • March 10, 2017     T-Mobile at 2186 Cherry Rd.

Throughout the course of 2017, detectives gathered information which led to Gathers’ arrest on January 3, 2018.

 

Gathers was denied bond and is being held at the Moss Justice Center pending trial.
