ROCK HILL, SC — Police have arrested the man they say stabbed another man in the chest Thursday evening.
Anthony Avera, 26, is charged with Attempted Murder and 2nd Degree Assault and Battery in connection to a stabbing that occurred at a home on Ebenezer Ave Ext.
Around 6:23pm, officers were called to the WingBonz on Oakland Avenue after 26-year-old James Ewing came to the location looking for help. A waitress at the restaurant says she called police when Ewing showed up with a stabbed wound to the chest.
After learning where the stabbing had initially occurred, police say they spoke with witnesses there who identified Anthony Avera as the suspect. Police say Avera stabbed Ewing at the home and then chased him around the yard with the knife.
