ALBEMARLE, NC — Police are investigating what may have led to a woman’s death after her body was found Tuesday morning.
According to officials, a woman’s body was found around 10:32am in a creek bed about 20 feet off of East Main Street near Charter Street. Investigators say she was fully clothed and appears to have been there for several days.
She is described as a white female, brown or black hair, 20-30 years of age, between 5’4″ and 5’6″, and roughly 90-110 lbs.
Detectives are working to determine her cause of death, as well as her identity.
