Missing Denver Man Found Dead In Parked Truck

Detectives say 57-year-old Michael Hinsey’s body was found Wednesday morning in a parked truck near Hill’s Chapel Church.

Hinsey’s body was found around 11:30am, according to officials, near the Church on South NC 16 Business Highway. Detectives say the truck was parked near a grove of trees, and hidden from view.

Hinsey was reported missing on December 28th by his son. He was last seen on December 26th leaving his home in a work truck.

Officials have not yet released his cause of death.

DENVER, NC —  No sign tonight of a missing man from Denver, North Carolina. Michael Hinsey was last seen two days before Christmas.

He has green eyes and grey hair. Authorities say Hinsey could be driving a black 2013 Toyota Tundra with North Carolina plates and Empire roofing decals on the truck.
