CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has arrested a man accused of committing several robberies in the Plaza-Midwood community over the past three months.
Investigators say a community member helped them identify Donovan Davis, 25, as the suspect in several cases. Davis was arrested and charged with three counts of Common Law Robbery.
According to police, Davis is accused of robberies that took place in the afternoon and evening hours of November 21st, January 9th, and January 10th. All of the crimes reportedly happened in the Central Avenue and Thomas Avenue area of Plaza-Midwood.
In the November incident, police say Davis assaulted a woman before taking off with her phone.
In the January robberies, investigators say he approached the female victims in each case, grabbed their purse, and took off in a black SUV.
