Two Men Found With 10 Stolen Guns, Stolen Lexus In Caldwell County

LENOIR, N.C. — Two men are in custody for their involvement in as many as 20 cases of car theft, breaking and entering and burglary in Caldwell County, North Carolina.

Matthew Greene, 24, has been charged with Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony Larceny of a Firearm, and Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering.

Willie Ferguson, 28, has been charged with Felony Auto Larceny.

Police say on January 16, 2018, officers were working lead on multiple Braking and Entering cases when they saw what they thought were stolen firearms in a camper trailer in the 1500 block of Blowing Rock Boulevard in Lenoir, N.C.

The individuals at the scene were detained until officers could obtain a search warrant for the residence.  Upon a further search of the residence, officers discovered 10 stolen firearms, a stolen Lexus, and other stolen property.

Authorities believe Ferguson and Greene are suspects in 20 other cases that go back as far as October of 2017.

The Lenoir Police Department and the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office are working together on the cases and more charges are expected to be filed.
