More Than 3,400 Pounds Of Meatballs Are Being Recalled Due To Listeria Concerns

CHARLOTTE, NC — Rich Products Corporation out of Vineland, NJ is recalling roughly 3,420lbs of beef meatballs that may have been contaminated with Listeria Monocytogenes, according to the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

Officials say the ready-to-eat frozen beef meatballs were produced on December 17, 2017, and have the establishment number “EST 5336” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products being recalled include:

  • 36-lb. cases containing six 6-lb. bags of “Member’s Mark Casa DI BERTACCHI ITALIAN STYLE BEEF MEATBALLS” with a “Best if Used By 17 DEC 2018” label and a lot code of 15507351 on the packaging.

These products were distributed to locations throughout Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.

Anyone with the recalled product should throw it out immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
