CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has charged Jeffrey Taylor in connection to two recent shootings throughout the Charlotte area.

Wednesday afternoon, police say Taylor, 26, fired several shots into a home on Roadway Street while multiple people were inside. Fortunately, no one was injured.

Then at around 12:58am Thursday, officials say a man was shot on W. Woodlawn Road. The victim told investigators at CMC that a man, later identified as Taylor, armed with a pistol and wearing a white mask and orange hoodie came running at him as he was getting out of his vehicle.

Taylor allegedly fired multiple shots at the victim, hitting him in the leg, before getting into a black SUV and taking off.

Police arrested Taylor early Thursday morning and charged him with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and four counts of Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling.
