Original Story
CHARLOTTE, NC — A well-known LGBTQ-friendly Church in South Charlotte has been vandalized again.
Someone spray-painted anti-gay slurs on the rainbow front doors of Wedgewood Church overnight. It’s the seventh time the Church has been targeted by vandals.
Co-Pastor Chris Ayers says CMPD told him it will be tough to find the culprit without any surveillance video.
The Church will host a community event to repaint the front doors. Ayers says he will announce the date and time for that event soon.
