SALISBURY, N.C. — Investigators with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Postal Service say they conducted a search warrant at a Salisbury man’s home after the man received a package with a large amount of marijuana inside.
Investigators say the search warrant was executed on February 1st at the home of Ronnie Eagle on Highway 601 North in Salisbury.
Detectives say they recovered 10.5 pounds of marijuana. Investigators say evidence obtained during the investigation showed this was not the first time Eagle received marijuana in the mail from California.
The value of the high grade marijuana was around $35,000.
Eagle was arrested and charged with trafficking more than 10 pounds of marijuana, conspiracy to traffick in more than 10 pounds of marijuana and maintaining a dwelling to keep and sell a controlled substance charges.
