Is Sunday’s Super Bowl Loss The End Of The Patriots Dynasty?
Tom Brady and the Patriots couldn’t pull off another Super Bowl comeback and lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The City of Philadelphia is planning to celebrate the Eagles’ victory with a parade on Thursday.
It’s Philly’s first ever Super Bowl title.
The Eagles were the underdogs heading into the big game Sunday and the Patriots were the reigning Super Bowl champs.
But the Eagles beat the Patriots 41-to-33 and it was Eagles quarterback Nick Foles, a backup until late in the season, who was named MVP.
Foles also made history by becoming the first NLF player to throw and catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady made history himself Sunday.
Brady is now the first quarterback to lose a game while throwing more than 500 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Brady says he wants to play a few more seasons before he retires.
After the game, he told reporters losing sucks, but didn’t seem ready to quit.
One key player on the Patriots is hinting at retirement. When a reporter asked Rob Gronkowski about retiring, he responded, “I don’t know how you heard that but I mean I’m definitely going to look at my future.” Plus, some are asking how long Patriots coach Bill Belichick will stick around.
