Man Wanted After Police Find $185K, Drugs And Weapons In Southwest Charlotte Home

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have identified the man wanted on multiple felony drug charges resulting from a south Charlotte house search back in January.

Shawn Walton, 44, is wanted for Felony Possession of Marijuana, Possession with the Intent to Sell and Distribute Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for the Purpose of Sale/Distributing Narcotics, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

On January 18th, just before 4pm, police executed search warrants at a home on Rudence Court in the Palisades community. Inside, police say they found 190.8 grams of marijuana, a .40 caliber Glock handgun, and over $185,000 in cash.

Police say Walton was not home at the time of the search, and have since issued warrants for his arrest.

Walton is described as a black male, around 6 feet tall, and 200 pounds.
