Man Arrested After Allegedly Spanking A Stranger’s Kid
A Georgia man may have gone too far when he spanked someone else’s child at the grocery store.
Police body cam video shows Juan Martinez fighting with officers inside a Kroger near Atlanta.
Logan Morris says was the checkout line with his 2-year-old son, when his son asked for a candy bar.
Morris to his son “no” but the child persisted.
That’s when the dad says a Martinez slapped his son’s hand, then grabbed the boy and spanked his rear three times.
“He didn’t cry, he didn’t say ow, he just looked at me astonished that some random stranger just popped him on the rear end,” Morris said. “I just looked back up to him and that’s when he made the statement ‘this is what we do with kids in Mexico’ and I said buddy, we’re not in Mexico.”
Police say Martinez smelled like alcohol and had bloodshot eyes when they arrested him inside the store.
Martinez is now in jail on charges including child cruelty, battery and disorderly conduct.
